About

Scope

Interferometer Lab is a browser-based project for exploring interferometer array layouts, planetary-system configurations, transmission-map behaviour, and observation-window logic within one interactive workflow.
The project is intended as a technical and educational tool rather than as a complete mission-grade simulator. It is designed to make array geometry, planetary input choices, map structure, and scheduling logic easier to inspect and compare in a transparent way.

Modeling and assumptions

Different parts of Interferometer Lab operate at different levels of physical fidelity. Some parts are based directly on published interferometer concepts and data sources, while others are numerical, display, or scheduling approximations introduced to make the system interactive and interpretable in a web setting.
It should not be read as a fully paper-faithful end-to-end mission simulator in every detail.

Project context

Interferometer Lab is an official ETH Student Project House project.
